It must be clear by now that the far right populists and the Epstein class will do ANYTHING to win and hold on to power. They will flout domestic and international law, commit genocide, start wars to distract from the Epstein files, cheat, grift, bribe, lie…and engineer stunts like the Moroccan Ceuta ‘invasion’ to fan the flames of racism.
They know they are losing the battle. They know some of them belong in prison. They know many see them for the toxic, lying grifters they are. They project all their worst vices and crimes onto others…and that’s unsuprising. They can’t believe anyone would NOT do what they do. And the worse their crimes and misdemeanours, the more they will fight – and spend – to stay in power. They’ve too much to lose.
And woe betide anyone who criticises them. Fake news. Failing media. Lefties. Communists. Enemies of the people.
The Spanish prime minister has been an outspoken critic of Trump and Netanyahu and look what happens!
And as one astute BlueSky poster wrote:
“It’s obvious to all of sound mind that this ‘invasion’ has been manufactured to discredit the Spanish government who have been openly critical of the American and Israeli regimes. It should also be noted that it coincides with RefUK’s ‘immigration week’ despite the fact that migrant numbers are down.”
When we see headlines and hear incendiary speech from politicians and the media, we really need to keep asking ourselves ‘why would they want people to believe this? What’s the agenda?’ Why do fossil-fuel backed politicians deny there’s a climate crisis? Why do the tech-bros, who resent any sort of regulation or limit to their powers, fund parties and politicians who are happy to make a bonfire of regulation and human rights? Why do communities have to accept water-draining, fuel-guzzling data centres destroying the landscape and the liveability of the location? Why do peaceful protestors against genocide get arrested and branded terrorists? Why is social media full of outrage clickbait? Follow the money, find the power.
The Ceuta case is but one of many, but it should wake us all up to just how much power these bad actors wield and the lengths to which they will go to retain and increase it.
They’ve got the money (and the guns, in some cases) but we have the numbers. Time to stand together and say “No. Not on our watch.”
