A couple of weeks ago, we published Simon Chater’s account of the work of Care4Calais. Now the weather has changed – cold, wet and brutal and whilst Care4Calais usually see a dip in those needing their help in the winter months, this is not the case this year as war, climate and persecution drive more to seek safety in Europe and the UK. They urgently need 1,000 of the winter snug packs shown above to help keep off the worst of the winter effects on vulnerable refugees.
Just £10 will fund a pack and, as Care4Calais say:
“In these most troubling of times, your solidarity continues to beat the hate”
The cruel effects of this torrential rain in the UK will also be making life extra miserable for the homeless. Please also consider what you might be able to give to help keep someone warm and dry.
