A journalist, without completing the checks, nor indeed any of the paperwork, was, to their astonishment, approved online for a job as an ICE agent anyway – intentionally demonstrating for their magazine that literally any unvetted person could be appointed. By implication also demonstrating any kind of racist, rapist, felon with a grudge or an ex vet with untreated severe PTSD, or anyone else, has been approved and put in a uniform, so desperate are those in power to bolster boots on the ground to create disorder.
It’s almost as if they want their agents to act like Nazi thugs and to create maximum chaos and terror. There is nothing remotely normal about unbadged squads of paramilitaries in masks randomly showing up in hospitals, streets, restaurants, private homes… anywhere they arbitrarily feel like terrorising.
The lack of ability of said agents however is not the only reason these goon squads repeatedly and persistently demonstrate no restraint and are trampling all over due process (and faces), terrifying citizens and the non documented alike.
The other is that tiny Steven Miller, deputy chief of staff for so called policy at the White House, has wantonly quadrupled the daily quota of arrests ICE are required to carry out, despite the target being impossible to achieve within the limits of the law. Little wonder then that there are constant reports of the absolute administrative failure and chaos at the Whipple Detention Centre in Minnesota, where those locked up are left unattended with injuries inflicted by ICE, without food or water for hours and hours… and that’s just the US citizens there.
For the undocumented men women and children, families torn apart, being processed for deportation or indefinite detention, their fate is even worse. The poor and huddled masses of the promise of the Statue of Liberty are now to be oppressed under a new terrible tyranny in the land of the free.
To explain why Trump, Miller, Hegseth, Noem and all the other Nuremberg inmate trainee wannabes decided to pick peaceful Minnesota to create disorder and a phoney crisis isn’t hard to fathom. It’s a blue state (Democratic) that had the temerity to pick Tim Walz as their Governor and who voted against Trump three times.
Trump in one of his usual illiterate incoherent social media rants pretends that the chaos they generate is a *consequence* of the disorder and not the *cause.* In all caps Trump announces on his ridiculously titled “Truth Social” site: “FEAR NOT, GREAT PEOPLE OF MINNESOTA, THE DAY OF RECKONING & RETRIBUTION IS COMING!” The bullying threat immediately repeated over at the Department of Homeland Security on their bias amplifier social media site – Musk’s X. Irony be damned.
Meanwhile the legally mandated Epstein files that undoubtedly would prove Trump’s complicity, remain illegally unreleased.
It’s no longer a question of whether or not this has echoes of the Nazi playbooks of 1934-35 – it so obviously does. The question is, if the public can’t miss it, why are so many content to remain silent and therefore complicit?
